Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan is part of a completely unknown to me, which is why I so surprised. Actually was not expecting anything, neither good nor bad because I started playing completely blind. Fortunately this is one of those rare cases where it is really good and everything seemed new and every minute of the game surprised me by its quality.

Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan is a JRPG dungeon crawler for Nintendo 3DS. Seen from a third-person perspective, the player must explore dungeons and map out their progress using the Nintendo 3DS touch screen. Using a grid system with drawing tools, the mapping system keeps track of your location as you move. By using the stylus, you must select from a variety of tools to draw solid lines around previously visited areas, drop icons to indicate specific objects like doors, and even use footnotes to leave descriptions.

This new one, Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millenium Girl, is both a remake and a re-imagining of the first EO game. It uses EO4's engine and some of the lessons learned from making that game to put a new twist on a title that Atlus fans may have missed. Untold also adds a full-on story mode as a series first, as well as new gameplay features that make it easier to get into.
